CS2 Gambling Sites: Roulette, Crash and Mines Explained
Many CS2 case sites are more than case sites. Next to the cases you will find roulette, crash, mines, coinflip, dice and jackpot, all played with skins or with balance you can turn into skins. In our rankings, these sites carry the CS2 Casino tag. This guide explains how each of the common CS2 gambling games works, what the odds look like, and what to check before you play.
The one rule behind every game
Every game on a CS2 gambling site has a house edge: a small share of every bet that the site keeps on average. The rest, the return to player (RTP), goes back to the players. A game with a 5% edge has a 95% RTP: bet $100 in total over many rounds and you should expect about $95 back.
No betting pattern, strategy or "system" changes that. Doubling your bet after a loss, switching colours or waiting for a streak to end only changes how the swings feel, not where they end up.
CS2 roulette
The classic CS:GO roulette wheel has 15 slots, though some sites use a different layout: 7 of one colour (often red or T), 7 of another (black or CT) and 1 green (often a bonus or dice icon).
- A bet on a colour pays 2x and wins 7 times out of 15, or 46.7%.
- A bet on green pays 14x and wins 1 time out of 15, or 6.7%.
Both work out at the same RTP of 93.3%. Some sites add bonus slots or side bets with their own odds. Check the payout table.
Crash
A multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs until it crashes at a random point. You cash out whenever you like: cash out at 2.50x and you win 2.5 times your bet. If the game crashes before you cash out, you lose the bet.
The chance of reaching a given multiplier is roughly the RTP divided by that multiplier. With a 97% RTP, crash reaches 2x about 48.5% of the time and 10x about 9.7% of the time. The edge is built in through rounds that crash almost at once. Setting an auto cash-out point before the round starts is the easiest way to stick to a plan.
Mines
A grid, usually 5×5, hides a number of mines you choose. Each safe tile you reveal raises your multiplier, and you can cash out at any point. Hit a mine and the bet is lost.
More mines mean a bigger multiplier per tile and a smaller chance of each tile being safe. With 3 mines on a 25-tile grid, the first tile is safe 22 times out of 25, or 88%. The RTP is the same however many mines you pick. The number of mines only sets how quickly the stakes rise.
Coinflip
Two players each put in skins or balance, and a coin decides who takes both stakes. In some versions your chance matches your share of the total, so a player who puts in twice as much has twice the chance. The site keeps a fee from the winnings, which is its edge.
Dice
You pick a target and a direction, for example "roll under 50". The lower your chance of winning, the higher the payout. Dice lets you set any chance you like, but the RTP stays the same at every setting.
Jackpot
Players add skins to a shared pot until a timer runs out. Your chance of winning is your share of the pot: put in 10% of the value and you have a 10% chance of taking all of it. The site keeps a fee, often paid out of the pot in skins.
What to check before you play
- Provably fair on every game, not only on cases. You should be able to check any past round. See Provably fair explained.
- A stated RTP or house edge. Good sites publish it, or the payouts make it easy to work out.
- Withdrawals. Winnings in balance are worth little if you cannot get them out. See how to withdraw CS2 skins safely.
- The site's track record. A trust score in our rankings weighs payout reliability first.
CS2 gambling vs case opening
Case opening, case battles and the upgrader follow the same rules as the games above. Each has an edge, and the RTP of a case is often lower than that of games like crash or dice. Check the case odds to compare. The difference is what you get to hold at the end: cases give you a skin every time, casino games give you either more balance or nothing.
Keep it fun
CS2 gambling sites are for adults only: 18 or over, and older in some countries. Skin gambling is restricted or banned in some countries, so check your local laws. Set a budget before you play, never chase losses, and take a break when it stops being fun. BeGambleAware, GamCare and check-dein-spiel.de offer free, confidential help.
